Top and Skirt: Urban Outfitters |
Necklace: Boston Tea Room Bracelet: Gift Ring: The Peacock Room Ring (smaller): Urban Outfitters |
I don't think there's a girl out there that loves lace more than me, so this lace 2 piece ensemble from Urban Outfitters was an absolute must have. I love the softness of the cream color, making the lace fabric appear even more delicate and feminine. I felt completely romantic and gypsy like as I roamed the streets of Eastern Market on an outstandingly warm and sunny day. I must say, I love gritty urban backdrops and places- there's something more charming and lively about the atmosphere that gives it a sort of rhythm. Perhaps it's the artist in me. Nevertheless I felt like a wild goddess and quite picturesque as I took in the sights and sounds of Downtown, almost like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones (who's such a badass). Adding my "King's Landing" inspired jewelry from various shops were perfectly appropriate accessories to my lace look. I absolutely love the necklace, which feels very symbolic in it's "world in your hand" imagery-very appropriate for my life right now. Taking in some abstract art at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Detroit, a stop at a coffee house for some espresso before finishing the night off with live music from local bands and a couple of beers with friends made for an awesome day. My entire life I've always been a bit unconventional and unique and the older I get the more I embrace that, wild hair and all. There's something quite beautiful about knowing your worth and everyday mine becomes more and more apparent.
I can see why you wanted to take this skirt to Amsterdam. It is a very flattering compliment to your beauty.
