Woke up with disheveled, just-rolled-out-of-bed hair that I decided to rock. My hair has been an extreme tyrant and diva as of let so I thought I'd capitulate and let her have her way. Decided to keep things rocker bohemian along with my hair by wearing my black fringe detailed top from Urban Outfitters. I've been listening to a lot of The Strokes lately which probably has influenced my style, two things very much amalgamated. Paired my cool top with a pair of DYI thrifted denim jeans I made into shorts (why pay an obscene amount of money when you can make your own?) and some lace up black sandal styled boots, which I love! Some vintage jewelry and a black fringe bag from Urban Outfitters were the right complimentary pieces to my free spirit look. Of course I had to make sure my caffeine intake was up to par by stopping at 1515 Broadway Cafe for a delicious cup of Americano. Can everyday be as laid back as today?

Such beautiful weather Michigan has been having, to which I jumped at the opportunity to wear my sunflower printed two-piece skirt and bandeau from American Apparel. I absolutely love the bright sunflower details, which absolutely embody summer. A pair of gold detailed sandals from Steve Madden and my bright red Rebecca Minkoff bag added a pop of color to an already bright look. While running some errands I stopped to take some pictures in front of a beautifully colored graffiti building, symbolically displaying the word, "Live." You can always find little forms of encouragement and reminders to embrace the day and make the most of each moment. After all, isn't that what living is all about?

I've been feeling pretty melancholy lately, almost like I'm on an emotional seesaw. Sometimes I have really high moments and then there are times when I feel very alone-though physically surrounded by others, emotionally and mentally I'm almost vagrant like.  However, it felt great to go out for some fresh air to clear my head on such a lovely day. Finally got the chance to wear my vintage kimono and detailed drop earrings I found in Toronto during my birthday. Decided to pair them with my favorite pair of high-wast vintage Levi cutoffs, a vintage Coach shoulder bag and my brown vintage lace up boots. A white crop top from American Apparel added just a touch of sexiness by revealing a bit of skin. While I spent some time Downtown I decided to visit Go! Sy Thai for a delicious Thai dish, as well as my newest obsession, Drought, (inside the Shinola Store in Midtown) for a delicious all natural/ organic/ vegan juice. I opted for the beet, carrot, apple, and lemon infused juice which was AMAZING! In life you're bound to have crappy days and moments when you don't feel your best or get what you want, however I'm learning to embrace the small moments that make life worth living.
