Vagabond in the Heart of Amsterdam
Jumpsuit and Necklace: Forever 21 Hat: Free People Sandals: Nordstrom |
Sunglasses: Forever 21 |
I'm finally in Amsterdam! I've been here for a little more than a week and am already in love. Amsterdam is nothing less than picturesque, with its myriad of canals and old rustic buildings, I can't help but remain in an irrevocable state of awe and admiration. One of my favorite things to do is pulling back the high curtains in my apartment in anticipation of the gorgeous courtyard that awaits me, a reminder of how far from home I am. On this particular day, I decided to take a casual stroll in one of my favorite neighborhoods Jodenbuurt with my friend to enjoy the pleasant warm up and sunny skies. Opting for my printed jumpsuit from Forever 21 and favorite wide brim hat from Free People seemed to be the perfect look for my relaxed day. I absolutely love the print of the jumpsuit as well as the cut out in the back which adds a touch of sexiness. So comfortable, it perfectly accentuates my boho rocker style. A fringe silver draped necklace and bright red lips made the ideal accessories to complete my look. Before leaving the country I told my parents at the airport how you go through different stages in your life, some that naturally and quietly take place and others you can actually feel and grasp the profundity of. This is one of those moments. I'm so proud of the woman I'm becoming...the woman that I am, and to see Amsterdam nurturing that metamorphosis is the most beautiful picture of them all.

Introducing Etana...
Top: Zara Skirt: Mango |
Sunglasses: Forever 21 |
Jacket: Mango |
I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Etana during our studies in Amsterdam. There was something quite relaxing and exciting about being behind the lens rather than in front of it. After dealing with non stop rain and wind chills, it felt nice to finally step out into the warm sun, to which Etana and I took advantage of, and Etana's multi textured biker jacket from Mango was the perfect statement piece. I absolutely love the leather sleeves, adding a touch of edge-a perfect juxtaposition to the rest of the jacket's sophisticated outline. A simple fitted skirt (also from Mango) and open back turquoise top from Zara added the right pop of color, making her look fun rather than so serious. Comfort is definitely key while walking the streets of Europe, which is why these multi-colored strap sandals were the perfect shoe that were not only practical but stylish as well. Behind every picture is a story, I'd say these one make for quite a beautiful one.
